But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid...John 14:27 NLT

The gift that no money can purchase, many long for and is readily available. During this season of remembering Jesus’ death and resurrection, we pray many will be able to accept His precious gift of peace.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy

“Don’t mourn or weep on such a day as this!”… For the people had all been weeping as they listened to the words of the Law. And Nehemiah continued, “Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!” Nehemiah 8:9-10 NLT

The hope of the righteous is joy, but the expectation of the wicked comes to nothing…Proverbs 10:28 HCSB

God’s kingdom isn’t a matter of what you put in your stomach… It’s what God does with your life as he sets it right…and completes it with joy. Your task is to single-mindedly serve Christ…you’ll kill two birds with one stone: pleasing the God above you and proving your worth to the people around you.

Romans 14:17-18 MSG

We are thankful for our merciful Father who promises us that Joy will come…Our thoughts and prayers are with those in Europe.

For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning…Psalm 30:5 NLT

But the fruit of the Spirit is love

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good…Romans 12:9, NIV

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude.

1 Cor 13:4-5 NLT

God first loved us. We can choose to love Him. It will be for our good. “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose”. Romans 8:28 ESV

The greatest love is one we can all know and experience. “For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life” John 3:16 HCSB
